Sir Brian Harold May CBE, PhD, RAS (19 iulie 1947, Londra) este un muzician englez, compozitor și astrofizician. May a ajuns faimos în toată lumea, datorită faptului că este chitaristul trupei Queen, dar și a chitarei sale (Special Red) special construită de Brian May și tatăl acestuia când Brian era adolescent.

Principalele sale contribuții componistice muzicale pentru trupă sunt: We Will Rock You, Tie Your Mother Down, I Want It All, Fat Bottomed Girls, Flash, Hammer to Fall, Save Me, Who Wants to Live Forever și The Show Must Go On.

A fost onorat cu Ordinul Imperiului Britanic (CBE), în 2005, datorită „serviciilor pentru industria muzicală și pentru caritate”. De asemenea, și-a dat doctoratul în astrofizică la Imperial College London în 2007 și a fost numit rectorul universității Liverpool John Moores din 2008 până în 2013. Deține case în Londra și în Windlesham, Surrey. Fiind un activ susținător al drepturilor animalelor, a fost numit vice-președinte al asociației pentru drepturile animalelor RSPCA în 2012.

În 2005, într-un sondaj de opinie, postul de radio Planet Rock l-a votat pe Brian May ca al 7-lea cel mai mare chitarist al tuturor timpurilor. El a fost clasat pe locul 26 pe lista revistei Rolling Stone (100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time). Anita, Lady May (born 29 April 1949), known as Anita Dobson, is an English actress and singer. She is best known for playing landlady Angie Watts in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from the show's inception in 1985 until 1988. She achieved a top five hit in the UK singles chart in 1986 with "Anyone Can Fall in Love", a vocal version of the theme music of EastEnders, and briefly reprised her role for the show's 40th anniversary in 2025.

Dobson's other television roles include Cath in the 1989 ITV sitcom Split Ends and Mrs Flood, later revealed to be the Rani, in Doctor Who (2023–present). In 2003, she was nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Actress for the National Theatre production of Frozen. She has also starred in the West End as Mama Morton in the musical Chicago (2003) and Gertrude in Hamlet (2005), making her RSC debut in the 2012 revival of The Merry Wives of Windsor. Her film appearances include Darkness Falls (1999) and London Road (2015).
